Every day, an extraordinary group of digital artists pushes the boundaries of the impossible to shape the digital world of tomorrow. They are our Digital Masters who, gifted with Adwisdom, create unparalleled impact through the magic of technology and creativity. This past Christmas, we therefore hosted an enchanting awards spectacle to honor the greatness of our extraordinary Masters in Digital: the Digital Mastery Awards.
Every day, our Adwisers push digital boundaries, exceed ambitions, shake up markets and transform the world of tomorrow. As drivers of success for our clients and our agency, they can rightly call themselves Digital Masters. To put them in the spotlight appropriately for that, we celebrated our year-end party last Christmas in grand style with the Digital Mastery Awards: an internal awards show by Adwisers, for Adwisers.
Where stars shine
An Adwise awards show deserves a fitting stage. A place made for stars to shine. That's why we transformed the Hengelo Metropool into a magical setting for the first edition of the Digital Mastery Awards. Down to the smallest details, we rolled out a brand identity specially designed for the awards show, giving the pop venue an Oscar-worthy look and feel in everything.
As protagonists of the evening, all of the Digital Masters present, dressed in chic tuxedos and glittering dresses, completed the sparkling setting.
Spectacle all around
In keeping with the glamorous nature of the evening, the awards show was presented by draqqueen and entertainer Hoax LeBeau. After a lip synch of Katy Perry's Fireworks, she announced the winning Digital Masters one by one through dialogues full of humor, self-deprecating humor and (literal) winks to the audience. To loud applause, all the winners collected their awards on stage.
Meanwhile, courtesy of culinary partner Dorset, attendees enjoyed an equally spectacularly presented three-course dinner.
20 categories, 500+ nominations
In the months leading up to the awards show, Adwisers could vote for fellow Digital Masters in 20 different award categories. The category list reflected Digital Mastery in the broadest sense of the word, including subject matter awards such as Innovator of the Year, personal awards such as Teamplayer of the Year en awards for promoting the Adwise core values.
An internal expert jury drew up a final shortlist of dozens of nominated Adwisers, who, according to their own colleagues, deserved an award for their achievements.
Recognition and appreciation
After the last awards had also received a new owner, CEO Gijs Westerbeek closed the official part with a thank you and a special announcement, about which more will be communicated later this year. Then the party moved to the dance floor for the afterparty where, accompanied by catchy beats and lit with sound-controlled LED wristbands, the last hours of an unforgettable evening were danced away.
In addition to a spectacular show, the Digital Mastery Awards primarily symbolized sincere recognition and appreciation of and for our Digital Masters, who within the Wisefundaments group passionately make an impact daily for Adwise, the Adwise Academy and WisePeople.
