Adwise welcomes Jip, Koen and Thijs as new shareholders, co-founder Jeroen steps down

Change in shareholding Adwise

As of 1 June, Koen Kranenberg, Thijs Wolbers and Jip van Kervel, with more than 35 years of Adwise experience between them, joined as shareholders of Adwise and the Wise Fundaments group. At the same time, co-founder Jeroen ter Laak stepped down as shareholder after 16 years. A special moment that is both the start and end of a chapter.

Kranenberg, Wolbers and Van Kervel have been working behind the scenes for about two to three years. From various management and executive positions, they have contributed to the growth and success of Adwise as if it has always been their company. This definitive entry as co-shareholders is a logical next step, giving the three more influence in further achieving the ambitions of our agency. 

A successful 16-year journey

In June 2005 Gijs Westerbeek and Jeroen ter Laak founded Adwise in their home office in Hengelo. What started as a two-man business specialized in internet marketing, has grown into a full-service digital agency and group after 16 years with almost 120 digital brains. Adwise has risen to the digital top of the Netherlands, with the absolute highlight being the number 1 listing in the 2021 Emerce100; the most prestigious list for decision makers in the digital world.

With the announced changes in the shareholding, a nice follow-up step is now being taken after this very successful period.

Next chapter - undiminished ambition

Changes are an excellent time to check personal ambitions. Jeroen has done this very carefully and indicated that his ambitions are no longer sufficiently in line with this new phase. He has therefore decided to leave as Workspace Manager and as shareholder of Adwise and the group.

Without Jeroen, Adwise would never have become the agency it is today. We will therefore proudly be closing this chapter with a proper farewell. A moment to relive the unforgettable journey of the past 16 years full of impressive milestones, big dreams and memorable parties.

A moment to simultaneously celebrate the start of a new phase for our agency by Koen, Thijs and Jip joining as co-shareholders. A new chapter in which we ambitiously continue as game changers in the digital world to enable even more clients to become digital masters in their industries.
